“Inspiration.” What makes you want to change how you look, eat, and feel everyday? How do you feel when you stand in front of the mirror and look at yourself? Growing up I often felt frustrated because I felt “big” and that always brought my energy down. But I found an outlet to change that– yoga & exercise. While going through the process of pushing myself to eat healthy and hitting the gym, I find that 100% of how I feel and what I could achieve is through the attitude of my mind. Everyday I look for inspirations– events, people, quotes, stories– through books I read, news, youtube videos, admirable qualities of friends & family that I can focus on to change my attitude and how I perceive things. From there, these inspirations keeps my motivation up. That positive attitude feeds into everything else I choose to do daily. Of course everyday is not always the same. There are days when it’s an absolute drag, and all I want to do is be a couch potato because I feel lethargic, or I just find myself walking around feeling simply angry– of course, my poor boyfriend seems to usually take the grunt of that (hahaha). However I find that even one single inspirational thought seems to calm things down for me, and it reminds me to be considerate and look at situations from a different perspective. As my client, you have a goal that brings you in to see me every week and hit the gym to do your homework on days we don’t see each other. This week, find things that inspire you. What keeps you going?
